| Ah psychotrope!

| I think everybody should write a short presentation of themselves, maybe answering these questions: - who are you ? - why are you interested in psychology ? - what would your perfect future look like, professionnaly speaking ?
Is there any other question you think about ?

In my opinion, clinical psychology is the best speciality, then comes social psychology, but honestly i don't know much in this field, give me one year and my opinion will be more acurate Bye | |

| So let me present myself now: I am Orianne, I'm 24 years old and currently living in Rennes. I am working as an engineer in computer science in a research facility. Although my job was pretty difficult to get, I never really thought about what I really liked. I am currently discovering my real self and my personnal problems may have lead me to psychology but I honestly think it's an amazing domain. If my dreams were to come true, I would maybe work in psychology research as well as be in contact with patients (have my own office or lead an association). I would like to help people live through what I lived and other sicknesses and make people in general understand what it is and how to react or not to react, especially... I think that's a good basis to work with... Your turn ! | |

| Ouch... It's going to be a little bit difficult to follow your rythm. I unfortunately forgot a lot of English throughout all these years, though I've never stopped reading or listening to it, thanks to music. I'm Nathalie, 40 years old (yes, already ) and live in Belgium, in a village near Liège called Villers-le-Bouillet. When I finished school at 18 years old, I didn't know which option to choose. I had skills but not self-confidence. So I began University and lost 5 years... As I had a passion for foreign languages, I became secretary. That was easy but boring. Bosses always wanted me to work later and harder... So I stopped working to take care of my children, as 2 of them have autism. Step by step, I learned how to understand them, to find them activities and they learned with school and with me to understand us, which is really not easy for them. But I achieve a goal and I want a new one. I can't accept not to be graduated (I miss this little piece of paper) and want to be useful. That's why I choose this branch...and hope to succeed with everybody here... Next and thanks, Orianne, for your post | |

| what a good idea ! You are fantastic ! I'm Marie, 55 years old. My english is very, very far away and i really need to work hard on it ! I maded a Business School and worked in the communication sector : corporate, then Events and at least Fairs and Exhibitions. There, I met my husband and I stopped working in 1995. Along with the psychology had always be there, it will be too long to explain here (and difficult in English). It is like I awake and I HAVE to try to realise my dream. To be usefull. I don't know exactly how, but i'm sure that on my road I will find it, and i HAVE to walk. So let's walk together !! Marie | |
